Hello, guys. Today I'm quite bored. Instead of watching TV and K-drama at home, I felt like wanna do a benchmarking of Crysis game on my new PC.
PC specs:
Crysis settings:
Here's the results:
It seems I need more horsepower on my GPU so I can run Crysis smoothly on bigger and wider screens. Last time, Faiz has tried playing it on my PC with his 19" widescreen Samsung LCD monitor attached. Yeah, it was quite smooth on High overall settings without AA. So, I wonder what the results will be if I'm using double 9800GTX on SLI mode? Hehe...it'll be quite worth it!
The only thing I'm worried about is related to power consumption. NVIDIA 9800GTX drains power a lot! Even in idle, it still sucks up to 131W. If it is on load, it eats up about 230W. My PSU (Acbel iPower 510W switching PSU) still can holds two HDD and a 9800GTX quite well and stable. I'm afraid of how the electricity bill would rise! Last time, with my old PC turned on nearly 24/7...the bills were about RM50-60 for every month. What it'll be with my new PC? Scary!
Well, I guess that's all for now.
